Carmel Landscapes is currently searching for a self-motivated, high-caliber professional Landscape Foreman who takes pride in their work, values teamwork and has an eye for remarkable craftsmanship! This is a management type role that aligns with installations and ornamental maintenance of properties, this is not a lawn care position.

Schedule

Full-time
1st shift (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) (floating winter shift)
Overtime available

Responsibilities

Management and labor with crews to perform landscape enhancement tasks on both commercial and residential sites including:

Manage site logistics
Mulching, edging, weed identification, and eradication methods
Layout landscape jobs and install according to drawings and workorders
Perform trivial construction tasks such as trim/final grading and seed beds
Communicate with clients and management before and during projects
Properly execute planting and pruning techniques throughout the season
Execute safety training and work in a clean safe environment
Conform to company policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills & Experience

At least 5 years previous experience in Landscape Construction required, foreman experience is preferred
NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) certifications or equivalent are a plus
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in truck and trailer navigation
Excellent Plant ID and native plant knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve problems and provide solutions with both clients and management
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Clean driving record with reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to perform minor tool maintenance and be preventative about possible issues
The ability to read tape measures, measuring cups
Familiar with horticulture chemicals
Excellent arithmetic skills
