Carmel Landscapes is currently searching for a self-motivated, high-caliber professional Landscape Foreman who takes pride in their work, values teamwork and has an eye for remarkable craftsmanship! This is a management type role that aligns with installations and ornamental maintenance of properties, this is not a lawn care position.

Responsibilities
Management and labor with crews to perform landscape enhancement tasks on both commercial and residential sites including:
- Manage site logistics
- Mulching, edging, weed identification, and eradication methods
- Layout landscape jobs and install according to drawings and workorders
- Perform trivial construction tasks such as trim/final grading and seed beds
- Communicate with clients and management before and during projects
- Properly execute planting and pruning techniques throughout the season
- Execute safety training and work in a clean safe environment
- Conform to company policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years previous experience in Landscape Construction required, foreman experience is preferred
- NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) certifications or equivalent are a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in truck and trailer navigation
- Excellent Plant ID and native plant knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and provide solutions with both clients and management
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Clean driving record with reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to perform minor tool maintenance and be preventative about possible issues
- The ability to read tape measures, measuring cups
- Familiar with horticulture chemicals
- Excellent arithmetic skills

Types of projects you’ll work on:
- Custom, high-end hardscapes
- Stone patios and outdoor living spaces
- Outdoor kitchens

- Natural stone walls

- Stone fire/water features
- Custom masonry and stonework
- Outdoor lighting
Required Skills & Experience:
4+ years experience in hands-on hardscape construction experience.
- Masonry skills (natural stone, pavers, block)
- Wood construction and carpentry skills
- Expert equipment operation (excavators, compactors, etc.)
- Familiarity with job layouts, the Pythagorean theorem, and radius cutting
- Knowledge of how to operate levels, laser levels, altimeters and shoot grade
- Advanced skills in construction tasks
- Familiarity with standard building codes
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and/or move 50+ pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work well on a team
- Experience with LV electrical wiring a plus but not mandatory

- Client and vendor database maintenance
